TWO TREES, so close their roots entwine, their branches mingle. This picture is like my husband and me. We are strong in our own ways, but quite different and as separate as two trees. Other couples I might see as one tree or as two branches on the same tree, but that would not be true for Ed and me. Yet we are spiritually compatible; the taproots of our being sink deep and our roots spread out into the same soil; our values agree.
