Essays in Ephesians #15

So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone,
Ephesians 2: 19-20

So then, you are—

not a stranger to God, but a friend, a child, one He knows and loves and calls by name;

not an alien but an insider, a person who belongs;

not disenfranchised but a citizen with rights;

not rejected but accepted;

not a lonely orphan but a son or daughter and an integral part of a community and
family with your own meaningful function and purpose.

So then,

your life no longer rests on an uncertain human foundation that can be shaken and
cracked and influenced by the prince of the power of the air.

So then,

despite uncertain circumstances, you are longer a victim to all the ups and downs of     temptation, injustice, rootlessness, instability or chaos, but despite all circumstances, your life rests on the solid foundation of the revelation of God’s merciful loving kindness and forgiveness of sins in the life of His Son, Jesus Christ.

So then,

freed from the burden of guilt and the fear of death—so then, freed from the constraints of sin, your are no longer shaken and fearful.

So then,

as God shakes the kingdoms of this world, you can trust the life of Christ with in you and be courageous, trusting, steadfast and steadied by the Lord’s unchanging love in Your heart and your certainty of being part of His eternal purposes in the Kingdom of God.

So now,

Let us worship the Lord.

Unless now,

you may be a believer who is living distantly from God and outside the security of  His love—if so, will you take a moment to talk to Him and ask Him to draw you closer to His love or help you make things right between you again? And then thank and worship Him?

Or now,

if you don’t know the love of God in Christ Jesus and are living outside of His Kingdom, but want to know His love and join His family, will you talk to God  about it. Ask His forgiveness for going your own way not His and ask Him for faith and trust to receive His Holy Spirit and to be born again into His Kingdom.
