Prayers for God’s Children — Day 2

Here are more gleanings from the prayers for my children with more echoes of our Heavenly Father’s heart for His own.

“Father, please give my children and grandchildren a revelation of Your love. Let it be a full revelation, a many faceted revelation.

“Open their eyes to see Your love in the small details of nature—a squirrel making fresh tracks upon the snow, their fingers tips soft from oil on rubbing a dog’s back, the brilliance of stars against the night sky.

“May they see Your love in the light that penetrates through the visible nothingness of air, of vapor, of time and space. May they reflect Your love-light back to You, twinkling brightly or shining steadily from within their own smiling eyes.

May they sense Your love in  the minuscule and invisible, the complexities of energy and movement too small for human eyes or any microscopes to see.

May they hear Your love in the invisibility of music and sound. In the pattern of familiar footsteps walking down the hall, in the songs that whistle through dry grasses, swoosh through giant trees, and beat out Your steady rhythms thorough human hearts and surfs on rock and sands. May they hear You through sound waves from the instruments in their hands and on the radio and in the MP3’s they choose to play.

From the abundance of their own hearts, may our children speak and sing as You would give them voice. May You resonate through their cores, filling their voices with the songs of stars and the authority God’s Kingdom. May they become Your instruments to bring your sounds of truth from the furthest heaven’s into this world’s space and time.
